Kathrine Farris is the Owner, Consultant, and Strategist behind the Marketecs team.
Kathrine is a highly motivated entrepreneur who values creativity and technology as a means to improve marketing, operations, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Kathrine lives and operates out of beautiful Southern Maine (USA). Where she has over 25 years of experience in technology, marketing, administration, and managerial operations. Her experience includes customer service, retail sales, finance, education, non-profits, and (of course) small business. Her background is well-rounded including; formal training and education, employment training, and hands-on participation in various organizations and events.
Formal Education
Kathrine has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine, an Associate of Science degree in Business and Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administrative Office Management both from Southern Maine Community College.
Past Professional Experience
Kathrine spent over 12 years in community banking institutions, performing roles such as Vice President, Branch Manager, Lender, and even Compliance Specialist. And in each role, she found herself automating and optimizing processes through the use of technology to make herself and others more efficient and effective.
Kathrine was an Instructor of Computer Applications at a Southern Maine Community College for four years, where the majority of her curriculum is based on word processing, spreadsheet applications, presentation design, and formatting techniques.
Kathrine has also organized and assisted with non-profit fundraising events, acted as Treasurer for various organizations, and was a Notary Public for the State of Maine.
She has always been regarded by coworkers, clients, and community members as highly organized, an expert in software programs, and a creative problem solver. Kathrine has been featured and quoted in various publications for her expertise as well as highlighted as a guest speaker at various events.
Industry Certifications
Kathrine is a certified partner and expert project management consultant for Teamwork.com. Assisting both new and existing teamwork users with set-up and optimization of their project management systems.
She’s also a certified marketing automation expert and consultant for Keap (Infusionsoft). Assisting both new and existing Keap users with set-up and optimization of their marketing automation systems.
She received the Content Marketing, Optimization and Testing Specialist certifications from Digital Marketer.
And she is certified in Professional Speaker Marketing and Support.
Personal Note
Kathrine is a wife to a supportive stay-at-home-dad, who cares for their two boys and 1700s home in Southern Maine.
In her time away from her computer, Kathrine enjoys getting outdoors and gardening, kayaking, camping, and hiking with all her boys. She loves dance, architecture and travel, and even made the desks that she used in her studio office space.
Kathrine is a self-proclaimed chocoholic and coffee addict. And during ‘quiet time’, she enjoys reading anything from Dr. Seuss to Ayn Rand to the Bible.
